T3i, KM Vendor Team Up

By Doug Caverly

T3i, a "leading provider of information security and compliance consulting services," has announced plans to become a Synthis Solution Partner. Synthis similarly describes itself as a "leading provider of enterprise knowledge management (KM) software." As part of the deal, T3i will distribute the Synthis Portal Server.

A press release contained typically cheery statements from both parties. A quote from Jerry Wyble, the CEO of T3i, appeared first. "We look forward to incorporating the Synthis solution into our core consulting engagements," he said. Wyble did break with tradition by confessing to a company weakness.

"Until now identifying, addressing and communicating the complex and misaligned relationships between individual business processes and information security has been a manual process for both T3i and our clients," he admitted.

"Synthis' lean compliance solution will strengthen T3i's ability to design for our clients a secure, operationally effective environment that mitigates risk and successfully aligns business and security goals," Wyble continued.

Next up in the press release came a statement from Andrew Ibbotson, President of Synthis Corporation. "We are thrilled to have T3i join us as a strategic partner," he said. "T3i has a great track record in delivering high quality security and compliance management services to clients throughout North America."

Wanna wallet stuffed with $10,000?

"As the need to exchange business information with business partners and third-party auditors increases," he continued, "organizations are recognizing that the most practical way to automate information exchange and achieve sustainable compliance is through a centrally managed, Web-accessible repository that requires no custom programming to implement."

As you can see, both companies are quite pleased with their "strategic alliance." Hopefully the partnership will live up to expectations.
