Extreme Growth In Knowledge Management Sector Predicted

It's a well-known fact that the recession has caused certain companies to close down. Depending on the day, it can even look like entire industries are in jeopardy. Knowledge management professionals may have little to worry about, however, as at least one person thinks the niche is (in a good way) going to explode.

Kevin O'Marah recently wrote an article titled "Next big land rush: believe it or not, is knowledge management." And historical land rushes, you'll remember, had settlers so worked up that they were willing to battle starvation, disease, Native Americans, and each other.

O'Marah explained how he thinks knowledge management will become equally hot by stating, "The root of this is an exploding need among all players up and down the global supply chain to harness and leverage their intellectual property without giving up control or worse, having it hijacked and used against them."

So it might not hurt to collect knowledge management stories about ExxonMobile and Hasbro; anyone who sees them could wind up feeling an urge to follow the leader. And you might even pin up an article or two about different hacks (like the one in which top-secret fighter data was stolen, for example).

Get ready to move fast, too. As the economy recovers, the best land/clients are liable to go quickly.
